 DOUG'S BIOGRAPHY

Doug Davidson has been singing since he was five years old .  Doug's parents entered him in a talent contest when Doug was six years old and he won First place singing "You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog" and Doug's been singing ever since.

Doug was born in Hamilton, Ohio but spent most of his life in Hyden, Kentucky.  Doug recalls every Friday and Saturday night the family would get together and sing for hours.

The one person who started the whole thing was Doug's Dad at the age of five years old.  His Dad taught him his first three chords on the guitar and that started his love for music.

At age fifteen, Doug was lead singer for a band he started with his cousins and at age sixteen Doug also played piano and sang at the Renfro Valley Barn Dance Jamboree for two years.  He started singing one song a night with the house band and the response from the crowd was so great Doug started performing many shows a night.

Doug soon started singing and performing Christian Country Music and Country Music at Fair's, Festivals, and Church's, which lead to performing shows with people such as John Anderson, Merle Haggard, Tracy Byrd , The Singing Cook Family, Lulu Roman, D.J. Sumner and the Stamps just to name a few.
